Easy-to-Use Menu System
The Tait Orca 5020 are the ultimate user-friendly radios. Customise them at any time by selecting your own features for the menu – these include display backlighting and modes such as handset, economy and selective calling.

Alphanumeric Keypad
The 5020 offers a simple-to-use keypad that enables full alphanumeric dialling. Features include a keypad lock to prevent you from unintentionally placing a call, and a personal security that prevents unauthorised use of your radio.

Advanced Display Functions
The backlit alphanumeric display on 5020 radios means you can clearly view messages and information, day or night. Select indicators for modes and functions such as DTMF, handset, scanning, transmit power and battery capacity.

Lone Worker
When working in isolation, your welfare is critical. The Lone Worker emergency activation feature gives you the confidence that your safety is constantly being monitored.

Short Data Messages
Program the 5018 to receive, and the 5020 to send and receive short data messages of up to 32 characters, providing fast confirmation of information.

Channel Signalling
The Tait Orca 5020 offers advanced selective calling (Selcall) capabilities as well as CTCSS and DCS. Selcall allows you to call an individual or an entire group, and also provides important features such as caller identity display, priority status calls and remote stun and revive.

Call Queuing
The Tait Orca 5020 can queue up to 15 calls for future reference and call back.

Status Messaging
You can quickly and easily indicate your current status by selecting from a pre-defined list of messages (eg. On route, job completed, etc).

Scan Groups
Configure your radio to scan specific groups for traffic – no need to scan all channels and groups unnecessarily.

Manufactured to comply with Factory Mutual (FM) United States* approvals, the Tait Orca 5000 is classed Intrinsically Safe (IS) and Non-Incendive (NI). These approvals allow the Tait Orca 5000 to be operated around flammable gases and vapours, typically found in petrochemical and other hazardous environments.
