The ProTalk® is worthy of an industrial design award – superbly functional and rugged, yet smart enough to look at home in a hotel foyer or restaurant. Every detail has been carefully designed. Its rounded ergonomic contours provide a comfortable hold, while a non-slip elastomer rotary switch ensures a good grip for accurate channel selection.

16 Channels

The ProTalk® offers 16 channels, each of which can be programmed by the user to any of the 8 pre-stored frequencies, guided by the voice synthesizer.

Versatile Signalling

Sub-audible QT tone & DQT digital codes mute undesired voice traffic audio and segregate user talk groups on shared frequencies or radio systems. Similarly guided by the voice synthesizer, the user can pick any of the pre-stored settings – 26 QT tones and 12 DQT codes (plus Off).

Compatibility

Thanks to the pre-stored 8 frequencies and 38 QT tones and DQT codes, the ProTalk® can operate on the same channels and coded squelch tones as other business radio brands. So choosing the rugged Kenwood ProTalk® will not impact on any of your previous investments in radio equipment.

All-in-one Package

The ProTalk® is ready for use immediately after purchase. It comes with all necessary accessories, including a rapid charger and a powerful Ni-MH battery pack with extra capacity (1500mAh). A handy belt clip is also provided.

Talk Range of 5km (3 miles)

The ProTalk® offers 0.5W of power to enable direct radio-toradio communication on the same frequency (simplex) for distances of up to 5km*.

* Talk range will vary depending on terrain, obstructions, and other conditions.

Enhanced 2-Way Audio

A portable radio may well have to perform in a noisy environment, so the frequency curve of the ProTalk® has been customtuned to optimize two-way communications. Moreover, the 32mm-diameter speaker delivers up to 500mW, ensuring communications are always loud and clear.
